A Safe Place to Land
Animal Welfare in Canton Schwyz
The INA KESS Animal Foundation is proud to support Tierschutzverein Schwyz with a donation of CHF 1,000 in aid of their ongoing animal welfare work. We chose to support this organisation because its work is tangible, local, and deeply rooted in everyday animal protection. It stands for responsibility, compassion, and practical help for animals that have been abandoned, lost, or left without a voice.
Founded in 1944, Tierschutzverein Schwyz is responsible for animal welfare across the entire canton of Schwyz. Their work focuses on essential protection: taking in animals in need, preventing cruelty, promoting responsible animal care, and raising awareness among the public. At the center of their efforts is Tierheim Burg in Seewen, the only cantonal animal shelter, which provides dogs and cats with a safe, caring temporary home until they can be placed with loving and responsible new owners.
Beyond the shelter, the association is actively engaged in preventive animal welfare, including cat neutering initiatives to reduce suffering among stray populations and hands-on support for wildlife, such as helping amphibians safely cross roads during migration seasons. Their approach is calm, solution-oriented, and focused on long-term impact rather than visibility.
We are proud to support Tierschutzverein Schwyz and their dedicated work for animals in the region.
